ANBERNIC RG35XX H

This console is great in value, well built and it can play up to Dreamcast games smoothly. Wish there are more options with the colors, but I do love the transparent purple. The buttons are very nice to click with. The OS is decent, I didn't need to flash it.

Really cool device especially if you are interested in vintage classic game! Customer service was extremely lind and patient and responsive.

After the RG35XX H arrived, I put several hours into games I played when I was much younger with much better portability. A little bit of research was needed to get the most of it, but it does everything I need it to do.

The RG35XX H is such a great handheld gaming device! I’ve owned just about every console growing up, and after seeing a retro ad, I couldn’t resist trying something from Anbernic. Even though I have a full gaming PC, I still find myself spending hours playing these classic games, even at home.

This handheld is perfect to whip out while you’re away, waiting for something, or just relaxing. I enjoy everything about it, the compact size, the crisp modern screen, the transparent shell design, the button layout and also the price.

I upgraded the OS, and it’s been running flawlessly ever since. My only minor complaint is the battery life, but aside from that, everything else functions beautifully.

I highly recommend this device and Anbernic as a company to anyone who loves retro gaming or just wants a fun, portable console that delivers a nostalgic yet modern experience.

I bought this console mainly to play the first and second generations of Pokémon, and it hasn’t let me down. As a bonus, it even came with the Aliens game preloaded, which instantly took me back to my childhood arcade days. It’s perfect for nostalgia. I really hope they release a future version with the same minimalist design but an upgraded screen. The current one is good, but a sharper display like those on smartphones would make it even better—I’d definitely pay for that. Compared to other models I saw in their catalog, this one has the ideal size for traveling and a clean, simple design that isn’t overcomplicated.

I got myself one and was extremely pleased with this handheld. I got my dad one for his birthday too.

This handheld has quickly become my daily companion. It fits nicely in a pocket and is quick and easy to use.
Buttons and screen are fine, no complaints. The sticks are ok, but difficult to to get perfect in stick dependent games like tie fighter, they're nice to have though.
The speakers are pointed downwards, which i prefer. The function button is a little awkward to use when using hotkeys since its placed on top next to the dc port, its usable but takes a little getting used to.
Performance is very solid. Im pretty amazed at what this little processor is capable of. I have yet to try a game that I couldnt run well, although some games take a little more tweaking cores and settings than others.
The 4:3 screen is perfect for most retro gaming experiences, furthermore perfect for pico8.
I disliked the stock operating system, but it was very quick and easy to install another, like knulli, on another sd card and use that instead.
Battery is adequate for a solid game session, of course depending on which core you use.
I've set up power settings to reflect how much processor power the core needs, ie old nes and gb games run absolutely fine in power saver mode, which yields well over a day of continuous gaming. Dos games tend to take a little more power, but runs very well on the device. I think i got around 5 hours of playing dark forces which was a blast to play again.

I highly recommend this device to anyone interested in retro gaming, anyone who needs a nice distraction from mobile phone gaming or anyone who wants to relive their childhood gaming memories

Sinceramente no le doy las 5 estrellas ya que me llego con algunos imperfectos de fabrica (filtros de luz en la pantalla, solo se notan cuando esta con fondo oscuro y el joystick izquierdo un poco inclinado), pero, nada que pueda arruinar la maravillosa experiencia que ofrece esta consola, muy contento con ella.

I’ve wanted this console for a long time. Now that I have it, I love it! But I may love it too much because it never leaves my hand. I had to learn how to brush my teeth with one hand, in order to continue playing with the other!

Went on a bike ride through country with little Internet access. Being able to play my favorite old games in my down time was amazing. Great brightness for outside. Great size for portability. The control stick is a great addition. I love this thing!

This has become my most played handheld, just edging out my Arc S. I love the form factor and the strength of the hardware for the price.

This device offers perfect hardware at the perfect price, allowing me to play confidently, even pressing hard on the buttons during intense boss fights. It’s also great for tinkering with the OS, setup, and configurations. I never worry about it breaking (and I’m impressed by its quality).

No complaints at all. I used the most recent software update on a SanDisk card and it all works really well. I take this thing everywhere. My only wish is Bluetooth audio.

If you want a little handheld to take with you on your commute or travels to play ao many different games then this is perfect for you. I love the GBA form factor and the buttons feel wonderful. The software side of things was harder to figure out but if I can do it then so can you! Buy yourself a little case too!

Whatever you think your getting, remove it from your brain hole. This is an amazing device just the right size, not as big as a GBA nor as tiny as a micro Gameboy. Very easy to maintain, use out of the box, and add too.

It's simply perfect, pretty comfortable, and highly pocketable. Also, the sound is pretty good, and the battery is awesome. I've been using it 24/7; in between college and work, I use it to make my commute better.It's very easy to get my ROMs into it; however, not every game runs on the PS1 emulator, and I suggest using Game Rooms instead of RA. 

Bought this device to make my work hrs fly by. I like the RG35XX H it plays a good majority of the retro games I have on it the only cons I have is the OS it comes with it doesn’t come with options to scrape images for the box arts of the games I have installed lack of other options for button settings the power button you’ll have to really hold it for a while before the green light comes on and the OS takes a very long time to load into the dashboard. I installed a new sd card from Sandisk 64gb and the 256gb the OS bricked the sd card had to reformat both sd cards 5 times and reinstalled the OS. So I definitely lost the included games it came with. But not the end of the world when installing the OS on any of my sd card it doesn’t partition it so when the OS is on 256gb it takes all the space and leaves nothing for ROMs or saved data. You’re forced to use 2 sd cards instead of one. The screen protector that came with the device is small it doesn’t cover the full screen so buy a screen protector for miyoo mini plus they’re both the same size and it will cover the full screen.

Anbernic has done a great job the last few months upgrading their 35XX line of devices. Being one of their most popular handhelds in 2023 they had lacked some basic things such as WiFi and Bluetooth. The one thing that puzzled me however is making the device as powerful as the 35XX Plus without the ability to take advantage of the new processor due to the lack of hardware on the device. The 35XX-H changed all that. Unlike the Plus model we now have the ability to take advantage of emulation on higher end systems due to most of those systems requiring joysticks for many or all of their titles. On top of that some of the advantages of the aforementioned also carried over like RetroAchivments and wireless controller support due to those additions of Bluetooth and WiFi.

The stock firmware could use some work but we have been seeing an effort by Anbernic in this round in order to solve this problem. I can't remember the last time we received so many firmware updates directly from Anbernic and in this case so close to the launch of the devices.
