ANBERNIC RGSP

I’ve really enjoyed the ANBERNIC RG SP so far. The build quality feels solid, the buttons have a nice responsive feel, and the emulation has been smooth with the games and systems I’ve tried. There’s a great variety of options right out of the box, and I like how much you can customize if you want to make it your own. The screen looks sharp, the clamshell design makes it easy to carry around while keeping everything protected, and overall it just feels like a well-made handheld. It doesn’t have analog sticks, so that’s something to consider depending on what systems you want to emulate, but for classic retro gaming it’s been great. For the price and everything it offers, I’ve been really happy with it and definitely recommend it.

Anemic gets it right. Some handhelds are a master of none trying to cover all control and screen variations. This one is purpose built and it does that job remarkably. It is the best Gameboy Advance SP/Clamshell option out there. Screen is bright and clear and the best part no ghosting of images. It runs cooler than other models which gives the feeling of confidence. Color schemes are nice. I got the blue sparkle option and couldn’t be happier.

Such a wonderful device theRGSP is. Coming from the RG35XXSP, this is a vast improvement. Not only does it resemble the original NSP, but also performs just as well. If there is anything to nitpick, it would be that it should come with a pouch, as other have. Other than that, the price and value is great.

Bought this to complete my SP collection from Anbernic. No regrets. The pearl blue colour is gorgeous, though I wish I had gotten pink (same as my childhood SP). StockOS has gotten much better. I play mostly PSP and GBA games, so it won't be replacing my RG34XXSP (2gb RAM) as my EDC handheld, but it has become my go-to device at home instead. Sorry to my RG35XXSP though, which has become a display model!

I absolutely love my RGSap. It takes me right back to my Game Boy Advance SP days, even down to the color. Never in 2026 would I have imagined I’d be replaying and finally beating some of my favorite games that I couldn’t finish when I was younger.

This is truly amazing product, and I’m extremely satisfied with it. It’s worth every penny. I went through four other handhelds trying to find one that felt just right, and this is the one. For Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boot Advance games, this is my endgame handheld.

I really liked it. It's a great little device for emulation. My favorite feature is that I can close it quickly and it will go to sleep. Comes in handy as a dad and I have to end my gaming sessions quickly.

I questioned if I needed this give I already had the RGXX35SP, but I'm glad I decided to upgrade. It feels exactly the same as the original SP and the 3:2 screen means GBA games scale beautifully on it. I own other more powerful retro handhelds, but this is definitely my favourite way to play GBA games.

I have the 34xxsp and the rg sp. RG SP is night and day better: lighter, better hinge so far, love the color. Thank you anemic on such a great product. :)

As my first retro handheld im really enjoying it I bought for work since they dont allow phone in the facility and i bricked my dsxl (sadge), it can handheld up to certain psp, ps and nds game pretty good. They is some screen tear here and there in some nds game but it doesn't bother me. The battery life lasts me up 6 hours for the games I play. I just wish it was touch screen for some games, that's my only con.

It is a great little device that does everything you expect and want it to.

Good shipping speed, and arrived safely! Fits well in my hand, not too light or heavy, just the perfect device for me. Love the flip screen too. I can close it in the middle of games or just to put away without worry of the screen being damaged.

A perfect GBA game machine. Great for on the go gaming while fitting easily in the pocket.

great form factor, screen, & battery life

Device is amazing it feels great in hands, fits in my pockets, and games work awesome.

The only problem i can think of is sleep, if i just short click power button and put it in pocket, its still heats up and after few hours console is dead, so i have to remember to actually save my game, exit it, and then fully power off.

This is exactly the emulator handheld that i wanted. Slim enough as an EDC, and you don't have those annoying sticks to contend with

This is the GBA endgame device for me. Perfect replica of the OG GBA SP, several options for CFW, lots of fun!
The only downside is the paint, I have pearl blue, but it seems to wear down pretty quickly.

Build quality is fantastic, really faithful to the original console with all the extra features you are looking for (and none that you aren't! :P) Easy to get set up, and a great experience with tracking the shipment from halfway around the world! Many thanks for putting so much into this handheld, truly a dream come true for a gamer getting back into the hobby

I really enjoy the RGSP and prompt shipping from Anbernic.

I bought this little guy on launch day and have been having so much fun with it. I have loaded so many retro games on this thing, up to PlayStation games, and it handles everything I've been able to throw at it so far. This is my first Anbernic device, and I would seriously consider more, maybe next time one with an analog stick!

What a great little device. It checks all the boxes when it comes to nostalgia. Everything about it is well made, from the feel of the buttons to the hinge itself. I was also pleasantly surprised by the updates to the stock Anbernic OS and with the new themes they have. Usually I install a custom OS, on this one I'm running the stock OS without any problem. The screen is very good for pixel art games, they really pop.

Delightful device that tickles the nostalgia nerve, but also provides a really solid, modern platform for playing the old games. Absolutely in love with it.

Fantastic little device, very nostalgic, excellent hinge and decent firmware pre-installed, though I'm looking to change this as soon as more options are available. I find the controls are a little too clicky, but they feel good and great for fairly long gaming sessions as well as quickly passing the time if waiting while on the move. Easily my favourite of any SP-like handhelds.

It really is easy to navigate, good software to add more roms, just a great experience overall.
