ANBERNIC RG556

I received the Anbernic RG556 and it works great, I love how games looks like in the screen , colors are awesome and games plays very well.
shipping was faster than expected and it came very protected , I appreciate that.
I want to mention that I bought a good quality micro SD card from Sandisk (Gameplay at 512 GB) directly from Sandisk so all games play smooth :-).

Everyone tried to bash the analog sticks but recent updates have completely fixed those issues! This system is amazing! Able to play Ps2/Gamecube, to arcade, NES and everything in between! I strongly suggest getting the upgraded SD card because the new games are bigger and take up more space. I was never big on handhelds but with this screen and the amount of game options it comes with, I’m hooked

I'm always on the lookout for the best all around handheld game console. Some have come close, but had their issues:
Rg35xxsp- Love the clamshell, but screen is to small for my aging eyes.
Retroid 4 Pro- Good chip set and battery life, but it has no ergonomic grip on the back at all.
Logitech G cloud- Great screen and ergonomics, but under powered chipset.
Abxylute One- Good screen and lightweight, but lacks ergonomics and chipset.
ROG Ally Z1 extreme- Super powerful and fantastic screen, but battery life, weight, and ergonomics compromise the system.
RG556- Great ergonomics, weight, and screen size, but very slippery and Switch style joysticks.

All in, i'm using the rg556 the most. The android operating system makes downloading, file transfers, and movie watching a breeze. Good battery life for it's weight. Not the most powerful out there, but it emulates some PS2 games I enjoy playing just fine, and everything below the PS2 plays great.
I don't like how slippery the plastic used is, but it's good grip design on the back make it so that you won't don't drop it, but your fingers will slide around on it. It also uses the Switch type half analog sticks that work fine, but lack the size and comfort of a full size analog stick.
I'm very happy with the rg556 and use it for almost all of my handheld needs. It's to big to carry in a pocket, but I have the rg35xxsp for that.

I love this console. I've been testing it for several weeks and it exceeds my expectations, it runs smoothly all the PS2 games I've tried. The fact that it comes with Android allows you to customize the interface and the commands and settings of each game. Besides, you can download your own games from PlayStore and chrome. In short, an excellent console.

Yo, I just got myself an RG556. It's sick! The design is on point, the screen is bright and vibrant, and it's loaded with a ton of classic games. Anbernic really knows what they're doing. Shipping was fast and their customer service is top-notch. Trust me, you won't regret it.

I'm bad with computers, but the RG556 was extremely simple to get going and use and has been an absolute delight of a device.

First, it comes with a micro SD card full of games, but all the emulators are on the device itself, so you don't have to install or download anything. I heard that most handhelds, Anbernic or otherwise, ship with shoddy SD cards, so I backed up everything included on it on my PC so I can go get anything I want later.

All I had to do was load up whatever games I wanted on a 3rd party SD card, insert it into the RG556, and open up a relevant emulator and point it at the new SD card to play any games usable by that emulator. Very simple.

The RG556 seems to run PS2 games without difficulty; the only slowdown I've seen so far was an extreme number of flying bodies in Dynasty Warriors 4, which I remember seeing even on my physical PS2. It seems to run basically perfectly.

Sticks feel fine, games run fine. Battery life is excellent, I think I played this for 3ish hours on a GBA title and it drained about 20% of the battery. This is truly a great handheld for reliving the games of my childhood and teens.

If I had to give it a strike, it's that the screen protector included was a hilariously bad failure and I couldn't separate it from its backing/packaging. I've used screen protectors for many android devices and have never experienced the difficulty that Arbernic imposed on me with what they sent me to protect my screen, to the point I literally couldn't separate the packaged screen protector from its packaging. I actually couldn't extract the screen protector, and it did require me to buy another screen protector from a 3rd party, but that wasn't too big a deal.

This device is awesome and if you're considering getting one to play retro games, from NES to PS2, this is the device for you.

Image: the included screen protector, the tab to lift it from the plastic broke at the contact point and won't pull away from the screen, instead damaging that area of the protector. The screen protector would be useless even if I could remove the broken part of the extraction tab.

This device is a upgrade too all the other Anbernic devices. My advice know the rg556 limits and you will have a blast.

I recently got the 556 it's my third Anbernic device and probably my last because this thing is amazing. I've used it everyday all day. I tweaked it and did all the upgrades that you can find online and on YouTube and followed all the tutorials and I'm blown away by how good this thing works. Anbernic did an excellent job with this device. The screen's great, the battery lasts most of the day, and I can play almost anything on it. It's also super comfortable to hold. I also love that it's Android-based, being an Android user. It's easy to take screenshots and to record gameplay.

I've had several handhelds over the past few years and this one is by far the best in terms of performance, comfort, and value.

Amazing handle console, PS2 Works incredibily well, I loved It.

I upgraded to the RG556 from the PowKiddy X55, and I can say the performance boost and screen quality is miles ahead of any Android based handheld out there right now. All my favourite games run flawlessly, and syncing to Moonlight to play my Steam library has never been easier. The transparent blue colour really pops and has all my friends wondering what device I have. Could not be happier, thank you so much Anbernic!

The Anbernic RG556 is amazing.

Easily the most powerful Anbernic handheld device I have ever owned. I have played playstation 2, as well as Wii, and Switch games on this so far.

It's no Odin 2, but at a third the price of the Odin 2, I am not complaining. The screen is beautiful, and I can screen cast to the TV and I feel like a kid again, playing these games from the couch.

I previously owned the RG351V, which my son claimed. This one, is all mine.

This has been a pleasure to use since getting it in. I love the ergonomics, it fits my medium sized hands perfectly and the sticks and D pad fall naturally under my fingers. This is easily the most comfortable handheld I've ever used. The screen is for lack of a better word perfect. AMOLED is the way to go for crisp visuals and beautiful looks. There's more than enough power to allow for use up to PS2 and even some low lever Switch games. Highly recommended!

This product is of the highest quality. The construction components are top-notch, and the console is very comfortable to hold. The software processing power is also very high.
