If you’re contemplating on buying one, just do it. Worth every single dollar I spent on it. Runs flawless in both modes, screen is crisp and vibrant! Definitely going to purchase another device from them! Whatever you guys are doing at anbernic, keep doing it cause your work is excellent!
I stumbled upon a review on YouTube, had a look and wanted to have it. Now, after a while with it, I can say: I love it. I find it intriguing, what devices can be built at what price nowadays. I especially like the screen and the buttons, which have a good quality-feel for me.
The only complaint I have is about the sloppiness of information about system-updates. Most is available on win.anbernic.com, though I only found the latest Android-version (v1.11E at the time) on a YouTube-video for a different device, but the description of the link said v1.10E. Same with the links on win.anbernic.com, which are partly wrong or have a wrong description. For example, the link for the Android-version 1.10E, was the same link as for the Linux-variant. I would wish for more diligence in creating the information and a bit more structure. As a developer and techie, it was doable for me, but still took quite a while to figure out what is what and where to find it. I bet there's less tech-savvy people, who love to enjoy their retro-handheld, but have problems updating there system. There's reddit, there's YouTube, but I'd prefer to have less of a hassle from the official source.
I totally recommend the device, though. I like it so much, I even ordered the RG353M as well :-)
The delivery was fast and efficient.
The machine has both Linux and android, we have the best of both worlds.
The build is of very good quality, I am very satisfied
This is a solid little piece of tech! It came with a screen protector - thanks anbernic - and was fairly easy to set up. I've been using the Android OS exclusively and it takes about an hour to customize and configure and since then I've run into no issues. Super happy with my purchase, and standard shipping was only about 9 days to Canada which was excellent!
This is the retro handheld I've been looking for my whole life. I love the Gameboy form factor, the screen is just the right size and gorgeous. The buttons and d-pad are precise and the analog sticks feel very smooth.
The included OS has been great, I haven't needed to explore other options yet. It's fantastic for picking up and playing a few games from the classics.
It's a great little device. Packaging was really cool, great job.
It comes with a whole ton of games - for some reason a lot of them have numbers at the start of the filename which is annoying anbernic pls don't lol.
I've run into zero issues setting it up so far.
I do wish there was a way to change what art was in the thumbnail, it seems like it's a screenshot from the game by default but it would be nice to use the box art instead.
Haven't tried the android mode yet, but the Linux OS runs everything that I need so I'm really happy with it.
I also haven't really tried N64, I understand either android or an alternate Linux OS will handle it better than the built-in OS but knowing that, I'm fully confident that it will handle it fine.
I've heard people are not a fan of the back buttons, or the joysticks, but honestly for me they seem to be fine, and I have pretty damn big hands. Perhaps it will be a different story when I'm playing PS1 games lol
If you are from the Gameboy generation, and you are looking for something to relive that part of your childhood, this is the device for you
I had been looking for a console that would meet my needs for retro gaming and I finally found it!
For any console prior to N64 / playstation it is perfect :)
For N64/plastation you can play but with a lot of patience, just enough to play and entertain yourself for a while
So after looking at a few variations and different companies who make these i decided to take the plunge and its so worth the money!
the back lit screen and the operating system run so smooth and it makes even more complicated games run effortlessly
i defo reccomend!
Thanks for the item
Ash
Great for indies, however the thing that bugs me are the the joysticks placement and the battery life. Other than that it’s perfect for what it is. & Also, i wish it ran cooler. So I’d give it a 7.5/10
I've been having a great time adding games from my steam backlog and playing them comfortably wherever I may be. Windows compatibility is great and plays most of my games in library of indie and light 3D tittles. So far is working great for me! Quality work!
I really like the Win600. I use it with the SteamOS image to play all the games that I have in my Steam library. It took about 12 days to be delivered to Germany including taxes, tolls and everything. Quite amazing!
I bought this on on the day of release. I own many handhelds from competitors. For just $375 this is a fantastic handheld! It plays so many arcade games, retrogames and windows games! You won’t find any other available handheld for this price right now that plays so many games! Recommended!
Fast, powerful and efficient.
After upgrading the ram to 16gb 3200mhz, changing the timings of the ram in the bios from 2400 to 3200mhz, adjusting TDP to 15watts from 6-12w, and a few other tweaks here and there, I can play all sorts.
Upgraded to Windows 11, I can play star wars battlefront 2015, battlefield 1 and V , Destiny 2 etc etc. All at 720p all low settings, but still looks really good on a 6" screen. Very happy with this device and hats off to Anbernic for creating another top notch product 👍 thank you.
Been looking for years for a good handheld emulation device. And this fits the bill nicely. I prefer the Android side, as things tend to run much smoother on there. The build quality is definitely premium. The system feels nice and hefty and not cheap at all.
I've loved collecting emulators for the past few years and this one so far is the best I've come across. It feels premium with that metal body and build quality. The 351elec firmware takes it to the next level. This is the best handheld in my collection so far.
I would say it is a bit expensive from this website considering the additional $30 Shipping to India. But this was the only place I could order it from as AliExpress isn't available in India anymore.
No complains with the handheld whatsoever. The shipping was quick aswell.
