ANBERNIC RG280V

This handheld is the perfect size for playing games on the go. One of the only screens I let my kid use as well. Once I installed a different OS on the RG280V, I feel as though it's near perfect. I went with the adamimage for the 280 which was straight forward to create and run. After a little finagling the machine quickly boots up directly into a favourites menu to quickly launch the games we like from the GB/GBC and NES/FC.
In the future I would definitely upgrade from this to a handheld with analog sticks, but for a miniature handheld with a screen that's still easy to see, definitely worth the money.

Excellent device. I've been using it a lot. It's very portable and comfortable. I carry it everywhere. Install Adam Image and you're golden!

So happy with it! The best buddy for a small pause, I love to use it 15-20 min and then get on with what I’m doing. The battery lasts really long for my type of use (I use it for maybe 1-2 quick sessions a day and I also have a work & gaming rig)

After wait longer that I expected for the arriving of the Anbernic RG 280V that I ordered (the package suddenly “vanished” from the USPS hands), I finally received the one the people of Anbernic resent to me using a different courier service. I have to tell this little machine is superb. High quality, veru well designed, powerful enough to run NES,SNES, Megadrive, PS, Gameboy, Gameboy color, Gameboy Advance, arcade, Neo Geo, video games at 60 frames per second, excellent sound, beautiful display capable of shows high quality images and colors. My only observation is on the OS interface that is not as fancy and practical as it could be, but you have the option to customize this authentic pocket handheld, with Adam image (goole that for information about it) or other options (Emulation Station) available on the Internet. I am very satisfied with this product and with the excellent customer service from the people of Anbernic. I recommend this model to anyone who is looking to play retrogames in a extremly well made pocket handheld: Anbernic RG 280V.

It's beautiful the console, it's really small but I don't feel it's uncomfortable to play. The audio has great power and the screen looks beautiful, they're amazing. If you're not a demanding person with games, just play with 8 and 16 bits and run PS1 games perfectly, it's more than enough. It's totally worth it, perfect for going on a trip and taking it anywhere for short and long hours of play. Its quality is amazing with respect to the price. Plus I got in record time here in Mexico, it only took 11 days when normally it's 20 days: D

Loving this device, it fulfils both my retro gaming interests, and also my system tinkering interests. Compact, but there's a lot in there. Great fun!

I’ve been more than happy with this device after years of seeing handheld reviews online, finally decided upon the 280v. Not an ounce of disappointment.

i like the rg280v because how small and pocketable it is. its pretty comfortable to hold and screen is alright. the buttons and d pad feels nice.

Okay, it's not my BEST retro handheld...it doesn't have WiFi and the screen is a little small...but it's absolutely my favorite. So much so, I bought a second one to gather dust on a shelf until my first one dies. The build quality is exceptional and it's very comfortable to play. I've gotten all the way through Metroid Fusion and Metroid Zero Mission on it, so I can confidently say all the controls are responsive. I only wish it had WiFi, a slightly larger screen, and a CPU that supported AmberELEC or ArkOS, then I'd buy two more.

This is a great device with perfect size for me but...
I really wish they would release a new version with 3.2 screen instead because this little screen is to small for my 50 years eyes.
Otherwise an really great device.

Such a fun little device. Order arrived in us from china in under 2 weeks. So great to play all my childhood games. Highly recommend any anbernic device but rg280v is really great runs everything through the ps1 library I’ve tested. Also runs the super Mario 64 port amazingly!

My rg280v arrives with some dead pixels

This is an amazing pocket device. The battery life is better than the GBC-sized model. Buttons were nice and placement was good. Received in USA in about 3 weeks with China shipping option. Really happy with this purchase

I love being able to carry everything on one small device that fits in my pocket. The battery life is good and the buttons are very sturdy under my fingers. It was everything that was described. Love it! Took less than 2 weeks to get to Oklahoma.

Easily available and for a good price especially when on sale. Took 2 weeks with the free shipping to NY, US. Downloaded Adam image and its good to go.

I really like this RG280V by ANBERNIC! Build quality and overall design is awesome. Display screen is vibrant. Battery life is good. I even like the 280V over the Miyoo Mini. I also have the 300X by ANBERNIC and this 280V is like the portrait version of the 300X. I also love the apps that come with the 280V such as the FFPlay media player, you can use it the play video files. The color scheme is one of the things I like most about the 280V, silver and black a good combination.

Got it 5 days after ordering from Poland. Really good hardware quality.
Software is a bit old school but I changed it to the Adam image. Now a perfect little time killer ;-)

I’ve had this for about 10 months now and I’m still really impressed with it. It plays most 16bit games like a champ even a few of the harder to emulate games like Super Mario RPG run decently well. I even have a few PlayStation 1 games that run well. Parapa The Rappa and Castlevania symphony of the night are 2 that come to kind. My battery is starting to show its age but it still works 4-6 hours depending on the game.

The screen is crisp and bright, the back speaker can really get loud if you max it.

Considering everything that you can do and play with this it's amazing for the money. The screen is very good, has adjustable backlighting and is great for casual gaming. Look into loading up the Adam image if you get one!

This has been my most used handheld device since I’ve gotten it. The buttons are very comfortable and the device itself is super pocketable. Overall I really love the 280V.

I own 3 differents rétro Handheld and this one is m'y favorite. Not necessary the powerfull one, but it is poket size, fun to play with, and the form factor is great.

I recently purchased this device and I cannot put it down. If you need a retro gaming handheld, this is a good starting point. Highly recommend it!
