Wish the audio control dial was located elsewhere.

The Revo K101 Plus is absolutely fantastic but has one major flaw. The volume wheel's location. Some games require me to press and hold the R button while pressing the face buttons in quick succession. I press and hold the R button with my index finger. I use my thumb to press A and B. When I do this, the meaty part of my palm immediately below my index finger hits the volume dial. When this happens, the dial usually turns the volume up and I get a sudden burst of loud audio. Trying to hold the device in another way to prevent this from happening only reduced the amount of control I have over the game. Trying the use the X face button instead of the R button then requires me to abandon using my thumb and use my index, middle, and ringer fingers in contorted ways. Workarounds for the volume dial issue are not ideal or pleasant. I wish the volume dial was located somewhere else away from places fingers will come cross during a play session.

For games which do not require me to press and hold the R button and only require a quick tap on it instead, volume dial issue does not come up. I can avoid touching the volume dial for such games.

The volume dial issue is a significant enough flaw to subtract one star from the overall rating.

In terms of the device's functionality as a gaming device, which accepts original GBA cartridges and GBA/GBC/GB ROM files (through the included flash cart), it is fantastic. The buttons feel great and offer precise controls. The screen may be tiny but displays very sharp images while making in-game text legible.

While this can technically play ROM files of other non-portable game consoles, they do not run well and should not be counted as an actual feature.

Aside from the volume dial issue, this is an easy recommendation.

Anbernic Revo K101 plus

I really liked all the anbernic machine, Revo wasn't the exception, it can play original games. The only Bad was the micro sd I bought the 16gb but it cames with only 5gb

Neat Handheld!

I knew this handheld existed a long time ago, but never really thought about buying one. I actually use this quite frequently since it arrived. I don't have to worry if it breaks, like I do with my actual hardware. If it does, I'll just easily buy another. Thanks

Plays GBA games well!

I got the REVO k101+ for the native gba game support. Did not disappoint. I played through Leaf Green and didn't notice any issues except for weird audio in some places (like jumping from ledge).

The D-Pad is better than stock GBA, but not as good as GBA-SP. Buttons and triggers are fine.

K-Card runs any homebrew I throw at it (GB, GBC, NES, and GBA).

The screen resolution is a bit weird. The LCD is crisp, but... dithered? The pixels smooth out a bit and I can't tell if that's a quirk of the LCD or a software thing.

Despite the small issues this system runs GBA games. That's what I got it for and it does the job very well.
