Me ha gustado mucho la experiencia de uso con la consola emuladora, se disfruta bien de juegos clásicos, PSP y N3DS van bien. Ahora solo me falta conseguir cartuchos para poder tener copias digitales de los juegos.

This device is amazing

This device is amazing.

I use this for mainly for Gameboy advance but the fact it plays nds and 3ds is amazing. The metal one I got feels very premium in my hands. Despite the speaker being on the back the device is loud. If placed on a flat surface the audio is mostly muted.

Would highly recommend this. Especially if you like the look of the sp.

Mid handheld, awesome mini Android device

Solid little device with a bunch of puzzling design quirks. I wouldn't suggest it as a primary handheld, but it's great as a EDC device so you can carry games and music and various other apps - and take those things off your phone, making the phone less distracting to use.

I find it PERFECT for studying with AnkiDroid. For THAT use specifically it's a 5/5.

But as a gaming device it's disappointing. 3/5
As a dedicated audio player it's disappointing. 3/5

There are better small gaming devices with better controls for less money. There are better DAPs for less money.

But there's not many small Android devices, and none with as fun of a gimmick. 4/5

Easy to use a lot of fun, super Pocket and ends

Easy to use a lot of fun . Super Pocketable and ends up being a conversation piece everywhere I go, the question I get first is “is that a phone?”. After explain to them what it is , the next question I get asked “ Where can I get one?”
Honestly, tons of people are digging this thing. Might of just sent you a couple extra orders.😉

It's better than reddit makes it out to be...

This is my first Anbernic device I have ever purchased. Up until this point I have been a Retroid/AYN user and have used their handhelds throughout the last 4 years. A little under 6 months ago I got my AYN Thor and I really love the clamshell design, very portable and powerful for what you get. But it was lacking the everyday carry aspect that I've been looking for in a device, it just isn't small enough to put in my pocket and go to work with. When the ad dropped for this I was very intriguiged with its design. I had been wanting to get the RG35XXSP but had seen glaring issues with the hinge failing. However seeing this rotating screen idea really got me thinking, I should take a shot, and what better to do it with than this. After about a month of use I can say it's not perfect. But it's so much better than all the cry baby reddit users make it out to be. I never expect perfection with any handheld from any of these companies because it just won't happen. Some get really close, others don't. This is right in the middle for me. I really love the small compact size, with a substantial processor to back it. I couldn't believe I was playing 3DS on something of this size. The controls are fine for me because I don't spend more than an hour playing it. Beyond that hour it does become cramped, but it's not my sit on the couch and play handheld, that's my Switch or Thor. The screen is probably the most lacking aspect of this device. The 1:1 aspect ratio is not the problem for me... It's the enormous amount of ghosting and lag that you get with any form of motion content. I didn't think it was bad at first but it is really, really poor. So much so that going from it to literally any other screen is an adjustment for my eyes. If it is fixable with an update, I would hope Anbernic would do something about it. If it isn't, we'll beggers can't be choosers. I bought this to play small games here and there when I'm on break or on a train, bus, plane, it's a time killer. I think that is where alot of buyers might struggle to understand that, it's a commodity handheld, and not a end all be all. It does alot, but it's a gimmick. And it's a good one. The hinge feels awesome. But before you buy, think about what you want out of it. Other people's opinions don't matter when your holding it and playing a game on it. I personally bought it, souly for the hinge and the rotating aspect. That might sound crazy, but it's fun! And that's the biggest reason I buy handhelds.

I love the RG Rotate!

I love the RG Rotate. It can emulate up to GameCube, PS2 and Dreamcast so well. It's compact, efficient, and visually appealing. If you like Anbernic, get one! I enjoy watching IPTV on VLC for Android as well as movies like Invader Zim Enter the Florpus. You can thank me later.

Beautiful but with compromises

The Anbernic RG Rotate has quickly become my favorite daily-carry emulation handheld. It feels like a genuinely experimental device that takes some risks, and while those choices come with compromises, the end result is something I enjoy using every day.

The form factor strikes an excellent balance between portability and comfort. It's small enough to take anywhere without feeling bulky, yet it has enough weight to feel substantial in the hands. The rotating design gives it a unique personality that helps it stand out from the sea of similar handhelds on the market.

Performance is another strong point. The chipset is powerful enough to justify carrying the device around regularly, and it opens the door to a very generous library of games and emulators. Android is a huge advantage for me because it's an operating system I'm already familiar with. Navigation feels natural, apps are easy to access, and getting started is straightforward. The included emulators and digital cassette player are nice additions, and I also appreciate small touches like the clock displayed on the timeout screen.

Battery life has been particularly impressive. Even with Bluetooth enabled, battery drain has been minimal during my usage. That's a major quality-of-life feature for a device intended to travel with me throughout the day.

The display has also been perfectly acceptable for my needs. I know some more technically minded users have discussed its shortcomings and can explain the finer details, but in practical use I have no trouble seeing what I'm doing and the screen remains clear and enjoyable.

Of course, the RG Rotate isn't perfect. The biggest annoyance is the lack of a headphone jack. It's not a dealbreaker, but it does limit convenience. I'm also a little disappointed that the device uses a Mali GPU. With growing interest in Steam compatibility on Android and Linux, I would have preferred a Qualcomm Adreno-based chipset. Better driver support and compatibility could potentially open the door to a wider range of gaming possibilities, including easier access to parts of my Steam library and more demanding emulation workloads.

Even so, the RG Rotate remains an excellent handheld. It may not be cutting-edge by today's standards, but it offers a thoughtful design, strong battery life, solid performance, and a comfortable everyday experience. For anyone looking for a unique portable emulator with plenty of capability, it's a device that's easy to recommend.

I'm loving my RG Rotate!

I'm loving my RG Rotate! Lots of power, amazing design, build quality, and incredibly pocketable. Perfect device for everything up to and including some PS2 and GC. So glad I picked this up in the all aluminium build too.

Dude I love this thing, its metal, it slides open

Dude I love this thing, its metal, it slides open to reveal the controls, it plays ps1 games upscaled just fine, honestly I mostly just use it for pokemon although the aspect ratio is not optimal for GBA its still extremely enjoyable.
The are a few caveats though the first being a headphone jack...why they didn't put a headphone jack on this thing is absurd, to make matters worse I cant get any of my usbC adapters to work for some reason

And my last complaint is the watch faces are bugged on my device and the screen to select new ones is completely black and unresponsive, i did email ambernic and they are aware of the issue on some devices and said it will be patched on the next firmware update.

Anyways this is a super cool and unique little device and its my new favorite!

Almost perfect for its size

Pros
- Unique design
- Portable/fits anywhere
- Very deployable (can quickly jump into a game from start up)
- Great excuse to older 4:3 games

Cons
- Really needed a headphone jack.
- Rear speaker gets covered often.
- Could use a fan.

I like the RG Rotate a lot. If there's ever a second iteration it deserves a head phone jack.

Best mini portable android handheld

This handheld is great if you are looking for a portable android handheld device. It's not to big and not to small and has great verity in terms of games it can handle playing and also thanks to it being a android device you can use this for other things outside of games. This is a good option if you are looking for a portable handheld but I do hope we can get a more powerful version of this device with joysticks as well.

What a great little machine!

What a great little machine! With the handheld market overflowing with competent devices the rotate brings something new at the table. It's tiny form factor makes it easy to bring along anywhere and it's great to use folded up as a screen or for touch screen games. With the controls open you will find it is capable of emulating a lot, even screen mirroring it to a tv. It's just as powerful as many other devices, but this design works great!
Also anbernics customer service is second to none! Very helpful and informative.

A clever, pocketable retro handheld device

A clever, pocketable retro handheld device.
The androidOS base is a welcomed change (for me).
USB-C, also a very good change.
But wireless display connectivity is useless. USB-C should have been able to handle the external display connection, which would have been a great feature.

The rotate gimmick is fantastic

The rotate gimmick is fantastic. Runs Dolphin and PS2 decently enough. Overall decent dedicated handheld device. ROM library missing some crucial titles that need to be sideloaded. Ability to run Android apps is major plus. Buttons are clicky, triggers awkward for action titles. Battery a touch on the short side. Very fair price for retro handheld experience. Storage on low side for Android and Dolphin. Very convenient for EDC.

Aluminum is worth the couple extra dollars

Awesome little device. Super well made aluminum version- feels as satisfying as it looks. Questionable design choices like speaker placement and lack of aux prevent 5 stars- otherwise its perfect. Battery is solid for its purposes. Ordered mine direct from anbernic to new york, received in less than 2 weeks with consistent updates.

Would highly recommend to anyone who likes to tinker

Pros:Amazing product for the price

Pros:Amazing product for the price. Runs old school ROMs with no problem, but with capability of saving progress which has been a problem with other non-anbernic products. Nostalgic to the max, allowing you to relive childhood video games. The android os is incredible and user friendly, it makes it easier to download all ROMs. It also comes preloaded with all necessary emulators, saving you time! I love that you can also use it to watch shows/movies and listen to music further bringing back an old esthetic of having a separate device from your phone.

Cons: not too many in this category. Honestly just a minor complaint, it's difficult to run most GameCube games and some Playstation games. It might be asking too much for it to do that much.

Awesome little device

This thing feels great! The full aluminium body is worth it, and you get a nice tempered glass screen protector so it's a nice device to just casually carry around.

Its handled everything up through Gamecube for me very well (haven't tried ps2 yet, but psx and dreamcast also run great) and on older snes level games I get like 7 hours of battery life on this thing. Not too bad.

I was even able to install SepterraCore on this thing through Exagear and play entirely on the touch screen on this square little display lol

Highly recommend if you want a premium feeling pocketable retro handheld.

beautiful powerful little handheld, rambling review

beautiful powerful little handheld. my honest opinion is while i'm giving it 5 stars, i wish i had opted for the plastic version over the metal one because it is heavy. it is not so heavy that it takes away from enjoying the device but it is a solid little brick. the buttons are solid and responsive. i do wish there was an easier universal way of remapping the controls but im sure if others agree that may come in time. i do wish it had maybe a 3000 MA battery. i do wish the c charging port felt more solid, its not terrible but considering how well constructed the rest of the device is, it feels a little weak . i also wish in the future perhaps for a front facing camera to allow for streaming or selfies. aside from my wishlist, its great. it handles ps2, gc and everything below with ease. i have not had issues with too many systems getting the system files in place but i wish there was an easier way to do that as well. there are a few systems that arent represented in the emulator list in the device menu and i wish there was an easy way to add them. you can download emulators and games from the playstore too which seems awesome. i am going to get retro city rampage on here. kudos on an amazing little device! these things are honestly more feature rich than what the industry make and everyone who enjoys this stuff should grab one up.
