Thinking about getting one. Stop. I mean, stop thinking. Just go and get one!
Ever since I put my hands on the RG405v, I said to myself: it would be amazing to have one of these but more powerful. And here it is: the RG406v.
To me, no doubt, the king of vertical handheld Android devices. I'm sorry to Ayaneo, but this is it! Great ergonomics, amazing grip, stunning screen, great performance... What more could I ask for?
Just get yours, cuz I'm sure very happy with mine.

I LOVE this device! It reminded me of a kid again playing GBA SP except I have responsibilities now. This device goes with me wherever I go! I can still be an adult while going to the doctor, waiting for the dentist, or a pet appointment. There is no line that I cannot conquer because I have my Anberic to cure my boredom! Thanks!

I was not expecting this at all! For me it’s the perfect Linux handheld device. Ergonomics, screen quality, build quality, the grip, the fun… all is just so incredible! And I can’t forget the amazing blue color! You guys got it so right on this one

I’ve wanted this console for a long time. Now that I have it, I love it! But I may love it too much because it never leaves my hand. I had to learn how to brush my teeth with one hand, in order to continue playing with the other!

I'm nobody's go-to tech reviewer. I'll say that a million times over, but I cannot recommend this device enough! I've been telling everyone I know at work or on social media that the RG35XXSP, or as I like to call it "the Retro SP" that this thing is perfect! I've been playing the first four Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Games for PS1 on here, as well as Persona 2: Innocent Sin, and a handful of others - this thing handles them almost flawlessly. Some reviews will talk about how the device "rattles" or "the buttons click loudly" but I have not encountered any issues regarding those things at all. I'm no tech expert, but I've easily been able to load roms onto it, and I'm baffled with how well it plays everything. The Retro SP (Silver) will be a go-to for me for quick gaming, flights, and car rides! Get yours ASAP!!!

-its worth noting that that only actual problem I've had with this console is that I sometimes accidentally click the power button with the side of my hand and accidentally put the SP into rest mode. I chalk this moreso up to user error with how I hold the device than a design issue.

This device offers perfect hardware at the perfect price, allowing me to play confidently, even pressing hard on the buttons during intense boss fights. It’s also great for tinkering with the OS, setup, and configurations. I never worry about it breaking (and I’m impressed by its quality).

Been playing Pokemon Crystal on this device for hours on end. Super fun! I have small hands so the tiny scale of this device is perfect for me! Very easy to bring with you on-the-go. Plus i dont have to worry as much about loosing jt compared to my Ds Lite or GBA. Sometimes it wont charge until you press the reset button. Good to know that trick. Overall im super happy with my purchase, i recommend it!!

At first I was going to just play my old GBA titles on this, but after loading up my other consoles I realized that this little beast could run Dream Cast titles at a smooth 40fps! I can’t wait for the eventual pro model with better heat management just so that I can run PS2 games. Haha Another job well done, Anbernic!

Of course everyone is excited for the nostalgia and this device definitely provides that. However I've been continuously blown away by this devices capabilities, I've been having so much fun playing games that I never even intend on playing on this system and I can't seem to put this device down other than to charge.

I’ve had a number of these types of retro handhelds and this one has quickly become my favorite. My first ever handheld game system was a GBA SP, so the fact that this one is modeled after that system gives me a comfort that hard to explain. The novelty cannot be understated. I tend to use custom operating systems on retro handhelds but for this one I’ve actually kept the stock OS because it’s got so many amazing features like quick shut down, bezels, auto joystick mapping, and more. I even use some of the common but lesser used features like the video player. The charm of watching a movie on a system that looks like a GBA SP is such a thrill. I’ve started bringing this thing everywhere I go now. I would recommend this console to anyone who grew up with a GBA SP, especially a silver one, because you will feel right at home.

At first, I wasn’t sure if it the consul actually can run that many games, but it’s all true! I really love this console, because is so portable, you can actually put it in your pocket and doesn’t bother you at all. It’s so easy to load games in saves states. I will definitely buy more from Anbernic in the future.

This has been a pleasure to use since getting it in. I love the ergonomics, it fits my medium sized hands perfectly and the sticks and D pad fall naturally under my fingers. This is easily the most comfortable handheld I've ever used. The screen is for lack of a better word perfect. AMOLED is the way to go for crisp visuals and beautiful looks. There's more than enough power to allow for use up to PS2 and even some low lever Switch games. Highly recommended!

Review:
Leveling up from BitBoy it is absolutely amazing to game on a great display and hear powerful speaker. Packaging builds a stage of premium products. Then you take it to your hand and the good feeling stays.
It is NOT made of cheap plastic and you can feel it is right in your hand. Everything is nice and tight, buttons work amazing.

On the road:
Bought an original Anbernic pouch as a protection while placing the handheld in a backpack. RetroArch works fast. Being able to play MAME wherever I go is a game-changer :)

In-home set-up: I have connected it via BT with 8bitDo Arcade Stick and hooked up via mini HDMI to my TV and... fast teleport punch with instant Scorpion's grappling hook in Mortal Kombat 3 Ultimate slam hard :) Battery life is my need and gamer profile.

Downside: Not found any critical error or misdesign. While it is worth noticing that do not expect to run every PSP, and PS1 games smoothly, this is rather an option and a bridge to more powerful spec handhelds of Anbernic. Not sure how to handle the aspect ratio for some games while hooking it up to 16:9 tv. But this is probably on my side.
