The RG40xxV is exactly what I was looking for. I am over joyed with this product. It takes me back to a simpler time in a sleek upgraded way. Playing some of my old title on this device just feels right. The vertical orientation was definantly the way to go for me. The 4' screen does these retro games an unbelievable amount of justice. I haven't touched any of my consoles since it arrived. The ability to tinker with different OS and really dial it in and make it mine has been a huge plus. I'm looking forward to purchasing more anbernic devices in the future. Specifically the 406H.
the console is very good and high quality. It's nice to hold in your hands. Beautiful and simple menu, I'm very glad that there is Russian language, although the translation is only 95% Very good and soft buttons, especially the d-pad, very soft and responsive! I really want to see exactly the same console, in exactly the same form factor, only for the d-pad to be like the RG406H version.
a big plus is that there is wi-fi, bluetooth and hdmi. I would also like to receive updates via wi-fi, rather than constantly downloading a new version from the site and installing it manually.
Great product
This is a great product for 2D emulation, which is pretty much all I use it for. I can get several hours of battery out of it which in my use case lasts me a few days, which is convenient. My only issue is the diagonal down+left input for my stick doesn't work very well, and I have to push the stick into a very precise position to get a diagonal input in this direction. However everything else is as I expected and I don't really have any complaints. Perhaps a slight improvement to QC processes would help this.
