ANBERNIC RG Slide

I ordered the RG Slide, shipping was lighting fast, it was delivered within 5 days!
I’m in love with the Slide, I’ve been having a blast playing a large range of games on it, it is absolutely a great console.
Keep in mind I’m based in the US and ordered the device from their US based store so shipping times can differ for you.

I really like the Anbernic RG Slide, and its performance is impressive. Many games play smoothly. The N64, in particular, doesn't pose any problems at all. Some GameCube titles can stutter a bit. However, I don't think it's due to the performance. I was able to play some titles smoothly after tweaking a few settings. Unfortunately, this device is still a long way from being a plug-and-play solution, which is something I'd hoped for. Anbernic could pre-configure the pre-installed emulators for the system, or at least the titles on the SD card. Otherwise, the device is more than convincing. It's the console I've dreamed of. Performance is good, the battery lasts a long time, and it's the perfect size for my hands. As long as you don't have a clue about Android or emulators, or don't know how to search the internet for help, you can get almost any game to run (except for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on the GameCube, but that hasn't worked on any emulator I've ever used) and you'll be happy with it.

This thing is so freakin cool. I opted for the SD card with redownloaded games and it was worth it. The device is clearly an emulator first and android device second.

They’ve gone out of their way to implement a feature within the hardware that is dedicated to showcase all the games you have downloaded. It’s honestly fascinating and visually pleasing.

The battery is fantastic and also charges quickly. I went with the slide because it gave me early 2000s cell phone vibes and I love it. Fits in my pocket easily and allows for quick gaming sessions at my pleasure.

Seriously one of the best gaming devices I’ve ever purchased.

Device feels great, has a rumble feature, and is pretty easy to learn how to use. I'm currently playing racing games and have had a blast!

Once I actually got it it was great it was held up in customs for over a month but anbernic what's excellent about keeping me up to date of what was going on after I emailed them the device itself is awesome love the screen love the controls.

I have always been a fan of the PSP and PSP GO, and this the like a love letter to those consoles. A spiritual successor, if you will. Yet, it plays a whole lot more!

It's hard to put it all into words - but I would highly recommend this handheld to any collector.

Wirklich fabelhaftes Teil. Auch für tiktok u. Ä. Was mir fehlt ist, dass die Emulatoren Eigennamen haben. man sollte die Apps umbenennen in die Konsole die sie emulieren. Ansonsten wirklich toll. Benutze sie seit knapo einem Monat. Mit dem Wii emulieren habe ich probleme wegen der fhlenden Gestensteuerung.

TLDR: Gerät (Anbernic RG Slide schwarz) funktioniert einwandfrei, Lieferung (China - Deutschland) hat problemlos geklappt. Kein Ladestecker, nur Kabel. K(r)ampf mit SD-Kartenslot (ggf.
nur mein Problem).
Emulatoren vorinstalliert. Bin trotz kleinerer Sachen sehr zufrieden!

Ausführlich:
Ich habe zum ersten Mal bei Anbernic bestellt (bzw. generell ein Gerät dieser Art).
Hab mich für den RG Slide in schwarz ohne SD-Karte entschieden. SD Karte hab ich mir aus Qualitätsgründen extra gekauft.
Die Bestellung wurde direkt bearbeitet und war innerhalb von ca. 7-9 Tagen bei mir (Versand China nach Deutschland, da im EU-Lager ausverkauft).
Die Versandkosten waren relativ hoch, aber ich hatte keine Probleme mit dem Zoll und keine Zusatzkosten, das war es mir wert (:
Das Gerät kam gut gepolstert an und hatte keine Schäden und funktioniert einwandfrei. Der Akku lädt relativ langsam auf, wenn man sonst schnell laden gewohnt ist, aber ist okay und der Akku hält auch relativ lange durch. Da vom schnell laden bei diesen Geräten abgeraten wird, hätte ich mich noch über einen passenden Stecker gefreut und nicht nur über das Ladekabel.
Die enthaltene Displayfolie ist in Ordnung und ließ sich einfach anbringen.
Das Gewicht geht in Richtung 3DS XL würde ich sagen, nicht unangenehm. Für sehr große Hände wären die Knöpfe ggf. zu klein, für mich passt es perfekt. Einziges Manko: die Schultertasten sind nebeneinander, nicht hintereinander. Sind gut erreichbar, aber muss man sich dran gewöhnen.
Vllt. habe ich mich extra doof angestellt, aber die SD-Karte in das Gerät zu bekommen war sehr mühselig, ich werde sie da wohl sicherheitshalber auf ewig stecken lassen :D Einige Emulatoren sind vorinstalliert, das fand ich gut. Weitere kann man sich z.B. aus dem Google Play Store direkt herunterladen. Verbindung mit Wifi und Bluetooth hat einwandfrei geklappt.
Der Schiebemechanismus scheint robust zu sein.
Den Kundenservice kann ich nicht bewerten, da ich ihn zum Glück nicht in Anspruch nehmen musste.
Zur Lebensdauer des Gerätes/des Akkus an sich kann ich derzeit nichts sagen, aber vorerst bin ich rundum zufrieden. Wenn das Gerät gut durchhält und weiterhin alles gut klappt, würde ich hier auch bedenkenlos erneut bestellen.

I love this device. It is basically an android with a controller built in and a very nice emulation selection. The best part for me is that I can just go online with the device and download roms. No need to take the SD card out. All in all this Ambernic device is the best emulator I have seen so far.

Great product, functions as advertised. I love the slide feature, it's helpful when controls aren't needed and way more immersive than when they're always in your peripheral vision. I hope to see more versions of this in the future. Thank you!

Love the size and power. Compact, a little heavy but powerful enough for NEWER titles and syncing with gaming services.

Very impressive console. I just wish it had a more powerful chip, preferably a Snapdragon. The chip used here doesn't have the best compatibility with more high-end games.

This little system is a beast! I also love the giant screen because its so much easier to see text on in text heavy games than on a 3.5 inch screen like most devices have. I've been playing through several survival horror games recently and went through all of RE1 and RE2 without needing to recharge even so the battery life is great since its an android device. I played Fatal Frame 2 and Godzilla Destroy All Monster Melee so i know it works well for gamecube and ps2 as well. The setup was easy enough and it already comes wtih several emulators. I installed emulation station on it and set it as the default launcher and it basically made this perfect for me. Im a huge fan of it and use it as my daily carry. My only real complaint is that I cant add a SIM card and it doesnt have any of the usual things a phone would like a mic or camera. I would have swapped my phone to this in a heartbeat if i could so i could carry one less device honestly. Still perfect as a gaming system though. Also the controls are very comfortable. The buttons are spaced nicely and the joysticks are ofset so its very ergonomic. The dpad is great too, perfect for street fighter 2. I do think this is a great handheld, if it were also a phone replacement it would be even better though.

I love the weight and the tactile sliding it feels solid. If I had one note it would be that the shoulder buttons are quite hard to press due to being small and that the buttons ship in the Nintendo style

I told myself I was done buying consoles for a while unless an interesting firm factor came out that wasn't already in my collection. And this is it. I missed out on the psp go and Experia phone, so I was excited to finally get to play a slider.
This does everything it should. The only thing I don't love are the shoulder buttons. There is not enough definition between them, and I have found any game that relies in both to be challenging. Everything else is solid. Beautiful screen, good buttons and controls.
Android comes with some quirks not specific to this device. The one thing I wish I could figure out is how to get the screen orientation to change when I flip the device. It has happened a few times, and I am aware there is a setting for that, but it is not consistent. I would love to be scrolling FB, check some emails, then slide it out for some Advance Wars. It is capable, if I can figure that out.

Coming in fractionally larger than my 3ds this easily my favorite emulator so far that I've tried.
Biggest complaint I have with this is that the emulator menu was unwieldly. You can't disable emulator icons you dont intend to use. It was very cluttered having scrolling through it all to get to the 5 emulators I planned on using. Games didnt show up in the menu even after messing with its few basic settings.
Minor inconvenience, not a problem though, the emulator apps themselves worked and I just put them on the home screen. Idk if the side screen buttons are programmable to do something else but I personally am going to uninstall the 'RG emulator menu' I think its called unless there's a better version of it.
Overall performance up to PS2 games was great though. Havent a single other issue. Slide slide slide slide slide slide slide is my favorite game so far.

I know some people complain about it being top heavy, and in all honesty I use my hands very often, been a mechanic for well over 20+ years, and it doesn't bother me whatsoever , I think its just fine ,I play it quite often and never had any fatigue , and all in all , I think the device is great! Build quality is solid ,and I think the button quality is top notch , they all feel great , I will say though if your planning on playing fps games , the inline R2 and L2 buttons are really my only complaint , they work fine just not ideal for fps games , other than that I am very happy with my purchase and the screen is a crowning gem in this small community of ours for retro gaming.....
