An investment worth the time and effort

The device is gorgeous, ergonomic, and easy to use, but there is a definite learning curve that requires a bit of work to get the most out of it. Retrogamecorp has an excellent guide for setting up the device to get the best out of it, and its worth the effort and investment because it performs very well as a handheld. You can connect it to a display and controllers and get a home console experience as well, however the device cannot charge while it is being used for video out as well. This is probably the only issue I have at all with it, so I'd highly recommend this to anyone with the time and focus to put into getting a very positive retro gaming experience.

Bought the 556 for the emulation, stayed for the 557

The 556 is a solid little handheld and I've had no reason to regret buying it. The preloaded emulators is one he'll of a good deal, too. I highly recommend picking one up!
