Une très bonne petite console

Une très bonne petite console, qui en a pas mal sous le capot, ma surprise en faisant tourner étonnamment bien la 3DS.
Pour le prix c'est un très bon choix !

Really Really cool!! Totally recommended

Great console! But for me, as someone who doesn't know a lot of technology, it was a bit difficult to use. Obviously there's a learning curve on any device, but I have to tell the truth, and it's a bit too complex. It's a matter of watching tutorials, but I think it's a great purchase.

The screen is of very good quality, the console materials in general seem very good to me, good audio, the battery it's amazing, and very good selection of games.

Although it is not a plug & play, you have to modify some features so that you can play some games well.

But overall I think it's an excellent console, I bought one for myself and my brother and we've had a lot of fun, we're already installing even more games!!!

Some Games on the sd are not working

Not enough good quality games plus some are completely glitched and buttons are kinda wonky

One of Anbernic's best devices.

I was pleasantly surprised by the 405v. I have been waiting for a 4+ inch vertical handheld for a long time and this is just about pitch perfect for what I want to do with a vertical system. Unbelievably comfortable to game on, slick and we'll put together. For once anbernic has actually come close to delivering something with the design process ofa company like Retroid.

I have owned many Anbernic devices over the years but lately have been more interested in Retroid as I think their designs and ergonomics have moved passed Anbernic (who still has a very utilitarian style). But the 405v surprised me and it's something you can't get anywhere else.

Great console!!

I wasn't expecting this retro console to be so great, but I'm glad I was wrong. A little bit tricky to learn the functions but once you do (couple of days) is really smooth to play with. Also, adding games is really easy when you're connected to wifi.

Not perfect, but Damn the critics...this is one great handheld Retro Gaming device

Good Day!
Before reading my thoughts, most of you have already seen youtube videos reviewing this device. While most reviewers/influencers are tepid with their recommendations, I would like to refute those claims. IMO, the RG405V is an exceptional retro gaming handheld for the price: the "hall" sensor analog sticks are wonderful in addition to great buttons and D-Pad. If you have larger hands, the ergonomics will suffice but may be hard to reach all of the controls for those with small or mid-sized meat hooks. However (and like myself), the reviewers/influencers complain about is the ease of "false triggers" when it comes to the R1/R2/L1/L2 buttons...they are really sensitive and easy to activate during gameplay. However, if you follow the proper tutorials for Android-based handhelds (especially Joey's Retro Handhelds or Retro Game Corps), this is a device really worth considering. This is the first Android-based Retro Gaming device I have purchased and couldn't be happier with its performance. I Hope this review helps all of those considering the Anbernic RG405V! I also suggest purchasing the protective case...not only is it molded, but it is reinforced on the corners as well...an easy addition if you were to ask me.

PS: I got the woodgrain edition and I couldn't be happier with the grain I received...but beware, the grain is random and you might see knots on your faceplate...see photo:

Hmm, GREAT but ISSUES.

This is my second device from Anbernic. my RG35XX works fantastic, but I was disappointed with this one.
I received it with screen issues and no longer than 2-3 days later thinking I would be able to work with the lines across the screen, it only got worse.
Reached out to customer support, they said it was defective and to send back, but never followed up with where to send it to..
So currently, its a nice $150 paperweight.

Other than the customer service issue, its a great device, seems to work well and is crafted amazingly, other than the defective screen.
Wish the smaller RG35xx had the same functionality and this 405v.
If anyone from Anbernic sees this, can you help me get a replacement device?

Fantastic

The 2 most important things are the RG405V is very comfortable and has an amazing screen. Beyond that is going to depend on your personal expectations. I bought this to do lighter low end emulation; gb/gbc, gba, nes, snes, and sega. In my personal use case I'm not using the analog sticks or l/r buttons. Never the less I am completely happy with my purchase. If you intend to do some harder emulation; n64, ps1, DC, even ps2 and gc are possible with the hardware but some games will work better then others. So if you are looking for a handheld to play some retro games (that you own) this is a great choice.

A heavy step-up from the 353V! Love it!

Great vertical for a great price of excellent quality.
Most PS2 games will run except for racing (cars) and FPS games.
Active cooling isn't necessary but is a great option.
Much more comfortable than the 353V in my hands.

Cons:
Joysticks are very difficult to use for precision in anything other than the direct up/down and left/right.

I've been building emulator systems for years, and this is pretty great

I designed an entire front end and gamelist with art for the Raspberry Pi a few years ago, and made my money. And Ill say, this is a fantastic gadget. Well built, doesn't feel like cheap crap. If you're not into emulation there might be a learning curve to set it up properly, but to me that's half the fun.

It plays GameCube pretty well. PS2 doesn't run all that well, but N64 runs shockingly good. Everything beneath that runs flawlessly. The screen is bright and responsive, and the battery life is exceptional. The buttons feel a little bit overly raised and I wouldn't mind swapping them out, but I'm 10 hours into replaying Final Fantasy 7 and I haven't felt like they've affected my game play at all. Speakers sound perfectly fine for what I'd expect at this price range. Maybe a little bit "tinny" sounding, but I'm comparing them to a 1800 dollar cellphone. They sound perfectly fine for gaming. No distortion.

Bluetooth for headphones works perfectly and sounds great. Haven't tried with an external game controller but I'd assume it would work just fine too.

I recommend getting Daijisho for your front end. It's on the GooglePlay store. Works pretty well.

Over all, is you're a nerd like me and are comfortable around electronics and computers, you won't have any issue setting it up in the way you want. And if you know nothing about emulation, a couple youtube videos will help.

5 out of 5 stars. I'm 100% happy with the purchase, especially at this price point.

Incredible handheld device

Overall the device is amazing for the price. I’ve been able to emulate up to GameCube with only a few hiccups along the way. Of course it can’t emulate everything, but the games it can do, it does well. The build quality is solid and I personally don’t have any problems with the positioning of the buttons joysticks. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who likes vertical handhelds and wants to emulate beyond PS1 games.

Love the upgrade

I’ve been waiting for a gameboy sized unit to be released with this new chipset. Controls feel great and games up to select PS2 work amazing. My new favorite device.

This is ALMOST perfect and I'm GLAD I got one!

My one real complaint, outside of the shoulder buttons being a bit sensitive and odd to hit is that the face buttons and D-pad are just a bit too wide. As someone with larger hands I was SUPER excited about this device (and I still am!) but the buttons being so close to the edges of the system make my thumbs have to curl up a bit more than is comfortable. If they were further inward even just a quarter-inch towards the center, and MAYBE an eighth of an inch upward, I think this would be the best version it could possibly be! If Anbernic ever tweaks the design to make the shoulders a bit less sensitive and the buttons a bit closer to the middle, I'd buy one of every color!

I use mine mostly for streaming, which people seem to also like as my TikTok showcasing Destiny 2 via Steam Link has over 52k views already! Games up to PS2/GCN play pretty darn smoothly and I've found that MOST of the games I'd want to play in that tier work pretty well! Like, Persona, Disgaea, some of the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts (sorta). You can get away with ~25 FPS in Mario Sunshine as well, but I wouldn't say that's the BEST way to play.

Putting this up against my Analogue Pocket Glow though, this thing SMOKES it right out of the water! This is twice as powerful, half the cost and much more comfortable! I have barely touched my Pocket since getting the RG405V just due to how much more I can do and how much easier this would be to replace if something were to ever go wrong. Anbernic has definitely won my appreciation and I will be looking to buy more of their systems in the future! ESPECIALLY if they're as weird and awesome as this one!

P.S. Dear Anbernic, if you're looking for a prototype tester, I'm definitely interested!

The ANBERNIC RG405V is fantastic

The ANBERNIC RG405V is fantastic for 8-bit and 16-bit gaming, and the vertical design really captures that classic handheld feel. Games from NES, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, and arcade systems look great on the 4-inch screen with sharp colors and a perfect aspect ratio for retro titles. The controls feel responsive and comfortable, which makes longer play sessions easy without hand fatigue. Battery life is excellent for retro gaming, and the Android setup gives you plenty of flexibility for emulators and customization. If you mainly want a handheld for classic retro games, the RG405V is an easy recommendation.

Awesome device

Absolutely wonderful handheld device. Plays everything beautifully, it's well designed and crafted machine, and it's ideal for most games up to PS2. It struggles with power-hungry and demanding PS2 games but with a bit of tweaking and customization, it plays half of them at least, albeit in lower settings.

Satisfied An Itch

I have been wanting a retro gaming emulator for a long time. This was everything I had wanted for a my device. From the touchscreen to processing power, it can do so much. The game selection is decent from the middle level so I can imagine the larger storage card has so many more hidden gems.

I Love The Device & Everything That Comes With It . The Only Problem I’m Having Is That If I’m Not Active On It . Then It Will Shut On & Off Until I’m Active .
