Its a nice device

Its a nice device to play old games on but its got a few caviats.

I like the clam shell design. It is very retro in that design. The buttons are clicky enough to be fun to play with but not too loud to annoy people.
The screen is bright and clear. Its got plenty of processing power to emulate devices up to ps1 and sometimes even psp. Though the lack of a joy stick means that psp isn't exactly the ideal choice.
Bluetooth is there for external controllers but I don't use it. The default is fine.
Audio is like game boy audio but it has a audio jack if you want to use nicer headphones.

One thing I don't like is that this litle device doesn't play well with fast chargers. not sure why but whenever I connect it to anything that provides more than 20W of power over 5v USB then the device soft locks until I diconnect and reconnect the battery. not too bad at least, most of my USB chargers are on or below 20W

Lastly, the SD card the device comes with was a bit... meh. I'd reccomend getting a nicer SD card and moving all of the data accross or getting a custom OS on it like MuOS

Overall I rather like and I'm glad I got it.

Great product but. . .

I love this this thing and it works well. however I hate how cheap it feels plus these devices are prone to breaking. I would recommend using the lowest watt charger you can possibly find preferably a 5 watt charger and use the cord it came with.

The best in handheld systems

The RG35XXSP is the perfect next step in handheld systems. The dual micro sd card slots help mitigate the need to have both the OS and applications on one card.

Compact retro fun!

This thing is a serious blast! It brings back a lot of memories and is really well made. It's a lot sturdier and has more weight to it than I expected. Combine that with the fact that it's a little bigger than an original GBA SP and that makes this thing an absolute dream for those looking to replay old games and have some nostalgic fun! It fits really well in my hands, it's comparable to how the original did as a child, which is a huge bonus. Also, if you have any experience with roms and emulators, then it's an absolute breeze to add to the system's game library. I've already placed an order for a couple more to give as gifts and 1 for a coworker that wanted to surprise his wife! Seriously, if you're on the fence, just do it! It's worth every penny!

Awesome!

Gives SP vibes, but much more powerful. I run mine up to PS1 with no issues. Super easy setup and customization. Would recommend.
