ANBERNIC RG35XXSP

I wasn't too sure what to expect when first ordering this device. I'd watched a few videos on it and did some research, but the form factor alone was enough to convince me to give it a try. I've had it for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it! It's easy to use and feels great in the hands. The emulation quality is great, the buttons are responsive and clicky (which some people dislike; I, however, enjoy it), the screen is of very good quality for only being 640x480, and the sound is impressive for a mono front-firing speaker. I even love that it has a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack, but the only minor issue I have is that it's a little quiet when using headphones. Additionally, you would likely be better off using alternative operating systems with this device. Thankfully, those are very easy to set up. Still, for the price and nature of this product, and the fact that it has a nice design that will remind anyone of a certain classic gaming handheld, I would very much recommend giving this device a try.

After watching Giant bombs video on handhelds I was convinced to buy this clamshell. Early days of playing with it but so far I love it.

Absolutely beautiful pocket size handheld. Just like the old GBA SP. Picked the transparent green model in honor of Pokémon Emerald. Can't go wrong.

Very easy to install a new OS and port games. Quality is much better than expected. Would recommend 100/10 times!

I have had this for maybe more than 2 weeks and it is so fun to have. My adult self and inner kid self is loving the games on this thing, and I definitely can’t wait to customize it more in the future. It also came super quickly. All I need is for y’all to come out with clear cases for these so it can be protected but cute!!!

I collect retro handhelds, I have a 3ds, an sp, a psvita, but this is now the console I take with me everywhere. It fits well in the pocket and the once complained about clicky buttons are now satisfying. You may have seen older review videos refer to a "rattle" when you shake it but that is now all but gone. The screen is beautiful and the speakers lend well to the old music but it's of course not studio quality. I'm currently playing through SoulSilver and a few rom hacks and those have been a blast, my fiance takes it to play a few Kirby games here and there and seems to enjoy them! I have somewhat small hands and I find no issue playing it for multiple hours, my fiance has much larger hands and plays it with ease as well. I get about 5-6ish hours on one charge and thats playing something like SoulSilver, I haven't tested things like PS1 yet given I play that on my Vita. I'd say if you're on the fence, just go for it, it's a price you can't beat with an insane catalogue of games. If you've also been looking for a dedicated GameBoy game player with some button controlled DS games then this is the one. I've also included an image of my transparent red version with my red gbasp if you're curious on a size comparison!

I got the red transparent SP and I'm so happy with it. It plays so smoothly and the buttons feel lovely. 30 hours of gameplay in, and no complaints so far!

The console is solid and well-built, with great materials and a nostalgic design. It’s compact, easy to carry around, and delivers a great overall experience. I’m really loving the RG35XXSP so far!

Love this thing such an awesome device for a great price a must have for any retro video game lover, only gripe I have is that buttons are a little to clicky it functions great still just a personal gripe. I’m using Knuilli os but os comes with it is great to but seems game run better on retroarch. Wonderful retro system tho I’m sure there will be improved versions of this coming in future which is awesome cause clam shell handhelds are great.

I loved this enough that I bought a second one when I broke my first. I use it as a travel device and one that I use in the hospital when I go for longer stays or when I know waiting times will be long. It's perfect and great for loads of games.

This is an excellent little device for emulation and running retro style modern day titles like Stardew Valley, Axiom Verge and Celeste. It is the perfect size for your pocket and brings me back to the days of using my GBA SP in 2003.

Its well built and the hinge is strong. The screen is beautiful and makes older titles look excellent. My only critique would be that the buttons require just a smidge too much force to actuate and are quite clicky which is reminiscent of the original SP.

My dream device would be an SP clamshell device with a 4 inch screen like the one in the RG34XX V, and have it use softer and quieter buttons so I can play in bed next to my wife.

El modelo es muy entretenido se usar, con un diseño cómodo y muy nostálgico, se siente bien apretar los botones y el ruido que hacen, la manera como se cierra y las opciones para personalizar la experiencia con software alternativo. Mi único comentario es la duración de la batería se hace menos de lo que me gustaría, pero siguen siendo casi 8 horas de juego entre cargas.

This is a great device. Like all the H700 devices you can play up to ps1. Where this one sets itself apart is the form factor. Both nostalgic and functional the SP delivers a strong value. Made to look like an old handheld with a flip screen that is protected when in your pocket. Highly recommended.

This thing is amazing...wishedi order it when it was on sale though. I got the 256gb card and the red sp. This thing is packed with a lot of content plus my curated list. It's plays great and holds the charge quite well. I can play through the day and injtra close it when I'm done. Highly recommend this but wait for a sale to save some for that extra SD card that's totally worth it

I got a pair of these (in green and grey), running MuOS for me and my wife and they are excellent! I have had friends asking about it and have recommended the xx line pretty much without reservation. The only issue (which I would love to see addressed in future revisions) would be the lack of fast charge support, as regular usb c charging is becoming obsolete and the lack of support kind of defeats the purpose of a universal plug. Other than that, a perfect product in my opinion.

Got the Rg35xxSP, came loaded with 100’s and hundreds of games from a variety of systems. Ended up getting a USB SD card reader and went through the ROMs, got rid of games and added games. Was surprised to see all the emulators they had on the SD card ready to go, for example i discovered they had DOSBOX for running DOS pc games… obviously that doesnt work with the SP but its cool anyway!

My RG35XXSP arrived perfectly timely, unboxing my handheld was exciting, the OS plays the preloaded games fairly well and it's overall given me a great feeling of nostalgia with an upgrade! The added image was a personal modification that made my handheld feel truly mine!
