Amazing budget handheld!

I have purchased the xx35sp , xx35H,
And the rg556. Let me tell you, these devices are absolutely incredible! The SP is the perfect handheld for retro titles from NES, GBA, or Mega Drive while offering amazing dreamcast and ps1 emulation. (I played through sonic adventures on my XX35H because of the dual analog sticks). Tweaking your emulator settings will be required with more demanding games but the xx35sp or H will run them with minimal impact on performance. While the RG556 is the perfect handheld full stop. If its in your budget to get the 556 get it. But, if you're looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and addicting device to emulate retro games then the XX35SP or XX35H are near perfect for that purpose. You won't regret buying any of these products. If you're worried about build quality, as I was, I'm happy to announce that feeling these devices in hand will quickly remove any doubts. They are hardy machines built to last. Not to mention the new SP colors are brilliant in appearance. So in summation, I'll be buying more of these in the future for friends and family and you should too.

Ultimate nostalgia

Love the device! Initially, I had a problem with the motherboard which had to be replaced. Support sent me the new motherboard. It was super simple to swap and I perceive it as a part of experience ^_^. Device is now running again and I'm looking forward playing many more hours

Everything I wanted from a portable console

This is it, this is the console. Nothing else to add. Perfection.

Good for travel gaming, retro games only

Installing a new OS on this was a huge pain in the ass, but once it's up and running it's great. Stick to pre-PS1 era games, and avoid fighting games.

Great design and familiar feel

Got myself the RG35XX SP to rekindle some old memories with my old Gameboy advanced SP.
It did not disappoint.
Not only does it look great design wise (I got the transparent black one), it also feels great and like a premium device.
As a personal highlight for me it comes with some in-built apps in its stock os which allow me to play music and videos I put on the SD cards (It has 2 slots).
In terms of games I really only tested GBA ones which it runs flawlessly.
The emulator comes with many customization options to tinker with but I mainly just use the pre-selected one.
The buttons are perhaps a bit too clicky but it‘s really not a problem for me.
The shoulder buttons may eventually cause issues because it‘s the electronic button component itself that resists the external button (if that explanation makes sense).
I also took a peek inside the device and it looks high quality even „below the hood“.
