Great design, very nostalgic feel, Im faithful the OS will get and update(maybe), I wish I new that planned on releasing the RG DDS, but hey Im satisfied.

This is such a fun device. You can use it stock which is very user friendly, or you can upload a custom OS and unlock even more potential. If you like tinkering, this device lets you without any restrictions. You could even have multiple SD cards setup with different OSs, just pop whatever OS you want and go. Out of the box this thing is great. Just buy it already!

I’m having a lot of fun especially since I’ve finally learned how to add OS firmware and games on my pc. I’m not computer savvy at all and I stayed up all evening into the next morning learning. I’m enjoying my RG DS Plus and I’m excited for the RG DDS. I’m hoping Anbernic waits until the end of October to drop the new handheld which will give me time to get it. Also I’m looking forward to getting a RG Slide in white color it says that it’s sold out in that color. Thank you Anbernic I really enjoy shopping with you. I’m happy and gaming.

Bought this as I already have the RG DS and liked the looks of the NEW RG DS Plus model. I love the bigger higher resolution displays, the built in stylus, and the the overall look and feel of it. The build quality is excellent and battery life is great too. I prefer the Plus model as it runs on Linux like my RG40XXV and my RG Cube xx. I've already got cfw on both of those and will probably look into putting cfw on my RG DS Plus in the future. Games look amazing on the RG DS Plus and the console is comfy to hold. I would definitely recommend the RG DS Plus as it's very good value for money. We'll done anbernic 👍

Having recently bought a 3DS lite I felt that I needed a bit of a bigger screen for some of these classics. The RG DS Plus serves that in spades. Being able to play games from various different console libraries is a plus, but I will stick to DS favorites and those I was unable to finish back when they originally came out. Marvelous execution and a solid daily driver.

I love everything about it, I do wish the analog stick was a bit better/bigger as there was headroom in this large device. I would love a smaller version of this too as it’s kinda too big like a ds lite

Nice product, seemingly well built.

Im only going to list the negatives that i encountered, but everything else is quite good!
-some of the preinstalled post processing shaders are too taxing for the system to run, and these probably should have been removed.
-the touch screen feels a little iffy compared to official hardware, but you can get used to it.
-the included screen protectors are not very good, and will be unusable if you mess up installation just one time. Fortunately, the clamshell design means you dont really need a screen protector for most circumstances.
-Retroarch screen border overlay settings will not save properly for some reason. Could just be a me issue.

Aside from these few gripes, i am very happy with the cost and quality. Recommend this console for DS, GBA, SNES, Genesis and NES titles. Basic PS1 and PSP games also function acceptably, though PSP will have incorrect aspect ratio.

Great product. Would like to see some UI adjustments. Its 100% user friendly and there was confusion with the sd card provided needing to be attached for the device to start. One would assume the internal software would be installed on the device, not a removable sd card next to the removable game sd card. So just a few things to upgrade

The RG ds plus is an awesome handheld. I love the firmware it's easy to navigate so easy to use. Love the NNDDSS emu. The RG ds plus has been my go-to handheld thank you for such a fantastic purchase price for this handheld I will shop with you again.

The ANBERNIC RG DS Plus is exact to its online description and an incredible device. The matte metallic blue finish looks great and has a fantastic tactile feel. Being able to take my entire game library on the go without hauling fragile original cartridges is a game-changer, bringing back cherished memories while keeping them preserved. Everything arrived fast, packaged securely, and in excellent condition. My only wish for future devices is to have screen protectors professionally pre-installed, as I’m not a big fan of applying them myself. Thanks so much, Anbernic!

A lovely handheld that for me feels great in the hand, whether playing DS games or games from other systems. I bought two, one each for myself and my daughter. The stylus completes the feel for me and was missed on the RG DS, which was a shame.

The screen hinge is firm, so holds in place well. Screen and build quality are excellent for the price. The included firmware can be a bit clunky, but is very usable.

The build quality seems excellent. The ergonomics are definitely good. The device fully achieves its purpose, and through the available custom firmwares, it is possible to further tailor the user experience to one's needs.

Using my RG DS Plus more than a week ago, and I should say this is my fav DS handheld at the moment. I also own New 3ds XL, DSi XL, DS lite. Screens are great, sound nice and balanced, setup was easy and quick. I still using the stock firmware, the Anbernic own NNDDSS emulator just works fine. I went with the Black colour but wish to go with the Blue. Stylus works fine, but waiting for replacement mesh tip for better glide on the scrreen. Only one thing what hoped for, bigger battery and faster charging. In 2026 this shouldn't be a big problem. I don't need superfast charging just a bit faster.

The RG DS+ is the definitve console for anyone that grew up with the Nintendo DS.
The default OS is fine but I suggest looking into Gamma OS Nano for even better performances

It’s a winner! The Thor is great, but pricey. The refurbished DS lites are about $100. The RG DS is a great replacement and its new, not refurbished.
The screens are bigger (think 3ds) and that’s fine, as it still fits in my pocket. The performance is great, and the feel of it is great, except maybe the R2 button, takes a little getting used to, because it is so close to the R1 button. I’ve had it now for about a month a play it quite a lot, so it’s not a problem anymore.
The price was right in comparison to DS lites and others, the layout good, the controls are great and performance is great. What more could you want?

The RGDS Plus is the best device to revist DS Classics. Paired with GammaOS or ROCKNIXDS and you can't go wrong.

Really enjoying my new RG DS Plus. Plays DS games flawlessly, and anything else from PS1 era and older. Took a few days to ship, but I did order right at launch. This is my 4th Anbernic device and I am always impressed with their build quality and performance. Looking forward to what comes next!

It just works, I have multiple Anbernic devices and even though my intention was to just use this for DS I found it works well for a number of systems. If you want a device to run your DS games, this does the job.

Let me tell you, this is THE DS emulation handheld to get. Performance is great, simple UI and the games just work. The buttons all feel great, the material is nice for the price. The only minor complaint is that perhaps the dpad is a bit large compared to the DSI XL, which this handheld is clearly modeled after, but even that is still solid.

This little thing is exactly what I wanted. The built-in DS emulator works perfectly, they even map fast-forward to one of the extra shoulder buttons.

I love this console and it's 100% worth it, I play it every chance I get and the battery life is wonderfull if you charge it overnight!
