Let me tell you, Fire red looks so nice on this. I look back at my gba and say this is what you were supposed to look like!?!
About a week in I had some issues with Linux os. I think I shut the device down wrong or something. Tech support was so fast… same day, like 6 hours later. They made me an instruction video and sent me links to flash the Linux again and now everything is working great. Wasn’t even down for a day… great company, great product. I’m excited.
I tried Wild arms 3 for ps2 was laggy and choppy so I think the line is there. It seemed like it might still play though 🤷‍♂️

The 552 is fun to mess with and works well. Its solid feeling like most of Anbernics hardware. I don't mind paying a bit extra for the games to come with it but after closer inspection, I payed extra to have the games removed. Its a bit disappointing but live and learn. I just wanted it for my collection for the most part. Its old and you can get better hardware for the same price. The screen is the star of the show. It rivals AmOLED to my eyes. Hard to go wrong for around $100 USD. The hardware community has done a lot for this unit and there are many OS options to chose from.

With all the research I have done on the RG552 despite its set backs. It’s an amazing product. The build quality is top notch. The screen (one of the main reasons to getting this model) is of high quality and impressive. The Anbernic RG552 carry case is also high quality and the RG552 fits like a glove.Out of the box it plays all my favourite old titles with the luxury of that big screen. Really looking forward to the updated model of the RG552.

What I am hoping for (RG552 updated model)

- PS2 gameplay
- Better WiFi
- BlueTooth
- bigger onboard memory
- More RAM

Overall really happy with my purchase.

Shipping was almost 3 weeks to Cyprus (purchased on the Official Anbernic Shop on Aliexpress. The seller was in constant contact when I asked questions.

The console works exceedingly well and plays all of my games with ease and to be frank works way better than my old JXD S602. The build quality is very good in my opinion and I ordered a case which should arrive in a couple of weeks for it to keep it safe. For some of the hackroms I run I had to tweak the settings but the process was painless and the settings were easy to manipulate. For any new purchaser make sure you read the manual that comes with it, I was at first confused with how to access the menu when running a game but the actual command is really simple and it's all there in the manual. I have been thoroughly impressed and I look forward to buying more of this companies offerings in the future!

Over all a great unit but noticed it has some pixel issues.

Unit is fine after some updates runs smooth and fast, two mechanical problems , one of the vibrators is loose and makes horrendous noise when vibrates and there is a pressure light mark on the right hand of the screen other than that unit is good

Received on 9.5.2022. After one week trial and want to say this is a great retro game handheld. Bravo resolution and retro game playing experience. Deserve strong recommend.

Very satified. Great machine great game

Been looking for years for a good handheld emulation device. And this fits the bill nicely. I prefer the Android side, as things tend to run much smoother on there. The build quality is definitely premium. The system feels nice and hefty and not cheap at all.

For the price I got it for, it is worth it (can play from pcengin to psp) but I would never have bought it for 250€

It needs a bit of practice to understand the mechanics and how it runs, but once you have it (plenty of resources online) you will have fun.

I have several Anbernic handheld consoles in this one is my favorite.
I love the duel implementation of Android and Linux. Although I must say generally only use Linux. But with high speed SD cards I'll capable of running GameCube games with JELOS.
The screen ratio and quality of the screen is what gets it for me. Perfect for game boy advance or 4x3 games and even 16x9 games. I really wish they would make an upgraded version with the same screen but a more powerful processor. I have the RG556 it's awesome but I just like the form factor of the RG552 better. This is the handheld I always end up coming back to you. Thank you Anbernic.

The product itself it absolute amazing for playing anything from nes-Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast games. The Linux side of it works amazingly. however I struggle with finding videos or articles on how to download things for the android side, and so far have found zero use for it, and have no idea on how to use it. Now it is possible that I’m just stupid, but I can’t find any help online, and thought it would help if anbernic were able to make articles or something on how to go about, say downloading and running WII and GameCube games. But all in all, great product

great console with a not optimized os. problem solved with changing it for a custom one as JELOS.
i've the rg353v too with recalbox and it's absurd that with a less powered console i have a better performance in ps1 and dreamcast.
fix it, please. Anyway, i'm really happy with the 552, the screen is great and all emulators works very well.

J'avais déjà acheté l'Anbernic 351 don't j'étais très satisfait. La 552 à en plus un écran tactile, légèrement plus grand et la console possède un port mini HDMI qui permet de la brancher sur la télévision. Elle est fournie avec plus de 4000 jeux de rétro gaming. Tout ça pour un peu moins de 200 €. Parfait.

I like the RG552 very much, but I must update my Android on my Anbernic. To enjoy more of it. And watching tutorials on YouTube for more Awesome stuff.

It was everything I had expected. I'm also thinking about getting the RG405M.

everything was perfect for me, except for the screen protection in plastic which was damaged and unusable when i opened it. So unfortunately i don't have screen protection, but except for that all was ok.

I would like to see in the future that they include the option the get the aluminum model for all new releases, I owned, RG353V, RG353M (which aluminum case is perfect for people like me) and now RG552, the packaging was greater, Anbernic demonstrates that they really care that you will receive a product in excellent conditions.

the best feature of this device is its wonderful screen - every game looks just the way you remember it, no shaders needed
it will play everything wonderfully up to the PS2 and NGC - but for this you have other devices
although to utilize DC,PSP and N64 android is recommended
battery life is not great but then again it charges very fast

if you want an all around device, consider something like RG505, but for a second device meant for deluxe playing of up to the 6th gen - nothing is better

Excellent product. Some roms doesn't save, but its only download a new one. Very good quality of constrution.

Since the power button is erected from the body, the machine will start up inadvertently by bump on the power button. I tried 3 times in my rucksack until i feel hot inside.
