Fantastic handheld and brought a smile while playing, took a star off mainly because I felt like the ergonomics could be improved
Great device! Using it for Pokémon. Buttons on the back allow for assigning special hotkeys like fast forward or saving/loading.
Purchased hoping it would be what is shown in ads. Was easy to play and easy to customise.

The ergonomics, screen, performance, battery life and price are all really great. This has quickly become my favorite retro handheld for mainly 2D systems. The only thing hold it back for me is the baffling cardinal snapping on the analog stick, which makes it only useful as a D-Pad alternative. Please, Anbernic, I'm begging you to release updated firmware which removes the cardinal snapping. This would be be an easy 5-star handheld if so.
The 40XX V is a very well made device. Screen is amazing and the provided os is very well laid out. If I have one hope it that they upgrade the software for the joystick or send out a better one that doest have nasty snapping issue.
