ANBERNIC RG 557

Excellent machine, good graphics. It just doesn't include a user manual on how to add more games. The audio is very good.

Es una gran maquina, lo poco que podido probarla aun (hasta swich) puede con todo sin problemas. La e conectado por cable a la televisión y le metido en remoto juegos de pc y va de lujo y todo ello claro esta con un mando vinculado.

The Anbernic RG557 is awesome!! I like that it has enough natural space that you don’t need to get an SD Card unless you have an extensive CATALOG of games and the overall feel and design work well with your hands. It’s great for a resting day with the bonus of playing classic games ANYTIME AND ANYWHERE. The emulation and specs literally make for a great experience.

The hardware is really solid and does a good job. It has enough internal memory that you don't even need to mess with a microSD card until you get pretty far into loading this thing up with games. The only thing to be aware of is you may need to have some patience as far as getting things set up the way you want them to. The more complex a console is, the more tinkering you'll have to do to get it to work so PS2 and GameCube can get a little fiddly and things like Vita are even more fiddly. But if you're patient, it's a really cool toy.

Am a big fan of retro game and whit this little machine i have acces to all my favorite games and memories, you can add games also, all the emulador works super fine, i have a lot ps2 games, but games whit a lot open world like just cause, spiderman 2 you have to change sometimes between Vulkan, OpenGL or software, psone games looks fantastic, dreamcast also, i recomend this RG 557 100%

I watched several YouTube reviews on this device and while the reviewers had some negativity towards this device, when I got it in my hands, I was blown away by the quality and power of this machine. The hardware is very powerful and every detail is well thought out. My only complaint is that the memory card didn’t come with any Nintendo Mario games, and I’m assuming that is to avoid lawsuits.

With Android you have lots of customization. Easy to download other front ends and extra roms. Comes ready out of the box, just certain plumber games aren’t on it. Great form factor, and Hall effect joysticks. Battery life last a long time and screen is clear, sharp, w great colors. If you want one of the best emulators for the money, with a switch/steam deck feel, you’ll love this device.

Great product and works well but the main games I was hoping to get on the console was not included such as various Super Mario and Mario kart games :-(

For me, this console is perfect for retro gaming. It has it all. Being able to play games from NSES to PS3 on just one small handheld is insane. Great performance, worth every penny.

So far, this device has been working wonderfully, I got this device to run GC and Wii games, and most of them has been working pretty well, with some lag issues but is to be expected, and obviously retro games run with 0 problem, so far I've only tested SNES and GBA, and runs fantasticly, I'm pretty sure other emulators run good as well, and I've tried some Sonic android ports and works perfectly well, too. The only downsides I have with this device are the joysticks, they are pretty small and I'm scared of drifting them at some point lol, and the battery runs down even if it's suspended, so you have to turn it off to save some battery, and a personal opinion, I would have preferred a black model like de rg556 has, but this model doesn't have one exactly, just white and transparent, and I had to go with the white one bc of the texture mostly, overall, is a really good product, but it can improve some elements, I do recommend it if you're playing games below wii, up to that, it may have some issues

My only complaint is my screen protector was broken when I got it

With the first switch being a thing of the past, I have found a case for my new device at a resonable price. I have tested all emulators with success all over. At the moment, I'm playing Chrono Trigger for the 10th time in my life and loving every moment. Much recommended.

Incredibly comfortable device, the battery life isn't the best but besides that I have almost no legitimate complaints. Kills PS2/GC with very little tweaking and basically comes as ready out of the box as you can get with an android handheld. Sticks are small but they are so great you'll forget about it.

I'm amazed at how well the RG557 works out of the box. I'm not very tech saavy as far as emulators and optimizing them, so I rely on something that works well right out of the box and this one delivers. It does have a way to automatically notify you of firmware updates which is highly recommended. The UI is pretty easy to learn and use. Coming from an older RG353P, some ROMs that wouldn't run at all seem to run fine on the RG557. It's crazy to be able to play PS2 and N64 games on a handheld (though there can be lag at times on games like SSX)

The unit itself is very comfortable to hold and I've been able to game on it for hours without cramping up my hands. The screen is amazingly clear and bright. It's also a touchscreen as well which works flawlessly. The sound quality on the bottom firing speakers could be improved but I'm not an audiophile so they're fine for me.

Overall the unit performs very well. ROM load time is almost instant for all and as mentioned PS2 racing games may experience some lag and I'm not sure if that's expected and/or fixable but I'll have to do some research to see how I can optimize settings to improve on that

So I was very skeptical to buy this. Seen the reviews, the box openings. I’ve had it for awhile and I have to say I recommend it. I can play my Game Cube, PS2, Dream Cast games no problem. People talk about issues with setting. Ain’t no problems here. I even use it for my Community club. We have speakers and I put their PowerPoints on it and play it for them. Also the live wall background option is awesome for when you’re presenting. It’s a great multi use system. Also trade secret you can play older PC games on it to which no one talks about. Let’s just say Red Alert 2 and the curse of monkey island are very play able.

Purchased my 557 and for the most part it’s good but I wasn’t in love with it. Looked at returning the item to be made aware that I would lose 25% of the cost due to restocking. This would mean that I would lose nearly 80.00. Keep in mind that the package had yet to be opened as well. Knowing that, I find that I was forced to keep it. Again, the 557 is good but there are other options out there as well. The return policy is steep and the commitment to your purchase is real. Please be certain that you want this device first.

The screen is bright a beautiful, set up was a breeze, and playing on it is fantastic. Every game I've tried has played fairly flawlessly, with only a few hiccups. Highly recommend

Does everything I need jt to do and more, if you’re on the fence on which one to buy, get this one and you won’t ever need to upgrade

Received this last week……I love most of this. However, I have a hard time putting my games in with my own card. The card you provided works fine, but I have my own sd card with double the storage (512) that doesn’t seem to work. Otherwise 5 stars

I like it really cool much nicer then my rg35xxh but still using both very much just 557 som tims don't see my gams but easy fix

I've owned multiple retro systems and my Anbernic RG557 is by far the best. It's so comfortable and the systems run so well, I'm having a blast with PS2 and GameCube libraries!

Item was well packaged and delivered very quickly. Overall the device is very good and much more powerful than it's predecessor the RG556. The large Oled screen is excellent with very crisp colours and very clear display. The device is probably the most ergonomic handheld on the market and is very comfortable to use even for long periods. The only thing letting the device down, there's always one with Anbernic, is the analogue sticks. Why they didn't use the sticks from the RG406H I will never know as the device would have been virtually perfect if they had.

I received the translucent purple RG557, I can say that this is a very powerful device, with excellent build quality, buttons and layout of controls is superb, no complaints. The device screen is amazing colours contrast and saturation is very good, highly recommended. The power of this device is awesome it can play PS2 games at 60 fps, and even some switch games. Overall I believe this is well worth the money! 9.9/10
